From the desk of the Founder and International President of the Mighty Georgia Metal Alliance Int'l H.M.C., Nik Bloodstorm an Introduction:

Hails & Horns.
My name is Nik, I'm the Int'l President/Founder of the Mighty Georgia Metal Alliance International H.M.C.
The G.M.A. was founded on September 2007. We began as just an H.M.C. operating out of the state of Georgia in North America w/ bylaws that were written and geared towards just a state club. However when interest in the G.M.A. began to arise outside of Georgia, I decided it was time to branch out and cross state lines, revise our bylaws to suit the needs of a growing, much larger club and move into other states/countries. We began operating in several states in the U.S. and eventually into South/Central America, Cuba, Canada & several countries in Europe. We receive emails from all over the world from individuals who are chomping at the bit to wear G.M.A. colors and to even create chapters in areas where we haven't established one yet. Our main goal is to unify the metal community on a global scale. I honestly don't believe any club has actually ever been that ambitious. There have been one or two that have attempted this, but due to hypocrisy, lies and power trips, it hasn't really been accomplished from the perspective of a "legit" H.M.C. These type of groups in particular, operate as gangs. They are pretentious and don't support other, real metal clubs. They hide behind the false guise of an H.M.C., but their actions always betray them in the end. That's not what the G.M.A. is about.
We keep our distance from individuals who want to be part of our international club for the wrong reasons, this is why we have a prospect period for all those who we intend to hopefully patch in, in the future. If in that time frame in which a person is prospecting, they show disrespect, racist views, religious bigotry, violent tendencies, illegal activities, drama or anything that would present a detriment to the club and to humanity as a whole, they lose they're opportunity to ever become a member of the mighty G.M.A. Some of us are musicians, many in established bands, others are involved in the industry in different capacities, while others are simply metal life stylers who support and promote bands locally and world-wide through promotion, booking, art work and by other means. We also do security for bands coming through our respective states/areas if we're approached on that level. We have the support of many in the industry and we reciprocate that support, 100%. We are legit! Our primary goal is to preserve, support and unify the true metal life style that we all grew up on. Pure, street level, heavy metal, solidarity. The G.M.A. also operates it's own radio station which broadcasts over the net across the globe. It's call the Lycan Society Radio.
I'm an old school head banger from back in the day. In those days being a heavy metal kid meant something entirely different that what's defined as a metalhead by todays standards. You felt instant camaraderie with anyone else who shared your metal passion. If you saw some kid wearing a tour t-shirt emblazoned with the logo of a respected band, you knew then and there that they were your brother right on the spot. I'm sure many of You can relate. Back then it felt as if it was something that belonged to only us and no one else. It was an underground, grassrooted community of like minded metal soldiers that spanned the globe. I believe that a true metal club is the last bastion of real metal camaraderie left. It's the difference between those of us who have lived "the life" since our youth and into adulthood as opposed to those who walk into a Hot Topic with $100.00 in their wallets, buy a Slipknot, Marilyn Manson or some other corporate, pop-metal, souless band's t-shirt, buy a chain for their wallet and some pewter jewelry and they walk out an instant metal head. That's just not what we are about.
I recall the days when getting a 5th generation copied cassette tape from a friend who copied off his brother's girlfriend's, 3rd cousin who knew a dude who bought the cassette of some killer band I loved, was like gold to me! Yeah, the audio quality left little to be desired, but it kicked ass nonetheless and I would play it until the tape wore out! Then I would copy it and give it to another and so on. We would create our own 'zines. We would draw killer artwork, write reviews on all new album releases and any local shows we had attended, we would promote local bands, then go to the library and copy it dozens of times, staple it and pass 'em out at shows. We would wear home made kuttes (denim jackets w/the sleeves cut off) with patches of all our favorite bands and to us, it was like wearing the uniform of a metal soldier. It made you feel powerful and you know you belonged to a world-wide tribe of barbarian, Heavy Metal warriors!
These days you just add water and you have an instant metal kid. They're like Sea Monkeys! And with torrents and other p2p downloading software, a person can just download the entire discography of a band in a couple of hours, whereas headbangers' of my generation would actually follow a band throughout their career, amassing their discography as the years progressed and celebrating the fact that a new album had been released. Bottom line is that we are the antithesis of the corporate, mainstream's interpretation of what being a metalhead is. We know who and what we are. We don't need the media and record companies to spell it out and define it for us through marketing demographics. We are the real deal and have been carrying that metal standard into battle since our youth and continue to do so. When this current metal resurgence dies and all the poseurs have found something else to latch on to, we will still be here burning the midnight oil and the eternal flame.
To quote an anthem from my youth:
"Flaming youth will set the world on fire
Flaming youth, our flag is flying higher and higher and higher" - Kiss
In Metal,
Nik Bloodstorm
